Mystic Blues Rock
Iradya is a name that says it all: a blend of irada (Arabic for "will") and Soraya (Arabic for "star"). A Chilean-Palestinian artist who built her name as a manifesto, a deliberate restart on her own terms.
Her sound is Mystic Blues Rock: a fusion of blues rock with world percussion, where the strings of blues rock meet the rhythms of global music and a voice that doesn't perform, it invokes. Her universe is dark, symbolic, and emotional, structured around the duality between the invisible and the evident, the conceptual axis of her debut EP No hay luz sin oscuridad (2025).
In 2025, Iradya made a radical decision: to leave Chile and settle in Italy for a year to finally do what she had always postponed. Compose without rush, record without deadlines. To build an entire album from will, not urgency. That album is Turista Migrante: the musical record of a soul in diaspora that belongs to many places and fully belongs to none. An identity in motion that found in music its only fixed territory.
Beyond her work as a solo artist, Iradya has established herself as a key figure in cultural management and the documentation of blues from a gender perspective. She is the founder and director of Mujeres del Blues, a press platform dedicated to building the historical memory of women blues artists worldwide; creator of the podcast El Blues es Femenino; and founder of the Festival Día del Blues en Chile, a self-managed event launched in 2023, now in its third edition, presenting a nationally unprecedented all-female blues festival with simultaneous events across multiple cities on International Blues Day.
She is also part of Wiccan Play Blues, an independent Spanish label and collective dedicated to making women in roots music visible and professional, bridging realities through music and her own experience as an artist in diaspora.
Her music is coming soon to all major streaming platforms. In the meantime, you can listen to and support her work on Bandcamp and PortalDisc.
